City Fiction Summer Conference runs over!

24 Jul

It was not until late afternoon on Wednesday 23 July 2014 that the last of the fourteen colleagues left the offices of Sue Richardson Associates in Alcester at the end of a crowded agenda. The nearby Coughton Court is where the Gunpowder Plot was hatched in 1605. Chairman Michael MacDougall was faced with waves of fireworks as creativity, opinions and ideas showered around him.

Perhaps the highlight was the rendering of a new poem by Mark Niel, the Poet Laureate of Milton Keynes, whose booklet ‘Every Beat’ will be published for HEART UK in September. Sales Director Dave Lyons gave a detailed analysis of the Amazon campaign, the PR team discussed the launch of ‘The Lady Who Turned’ at BAFTA in September and the editorial team looked at the progress of the DCI Rudd police series ‘On Scene and Dealing’. Designer Mark Hobin was faced with thirteen different ideas for the cover. Jane Alexandra Foster brought everybody up-to-date with the progress of the script for the film ‘Megan’s Game’.

Our picture shows a brief break in a busy day with some of our colleagues.
