City Fiction announces the appointment of Sarah Williams as Editor in Chief
City Fiction, the publisher of Tony Drury’s romantic thrillers, has appointed the distinguished writer Sarah Williams BA (Hons), MPhil, as its Editor in Chief.
Sarah is a professional author and publisher, and has also been a university lecturer on English literature and the history of ideas. Sarah has run the English office of the biggest French children’s book publisher, Gallimard Jeunesse, and has written over eighty fiction and non-fiction books, predominantly for children and young people, under her writing name of Sarah Matthews. She is a member of the Society of Authors and of the Crime Writers’ Association.
Sarah’s latest book, How to Write Crime Fiction, is being published under her own name by Constable & Robinson in October 2014.
Sarah is currently working with Tony on his fifth romantic thriller, The Lady Who Turned, which is set in the City of London, and involves The Lady magazine, a ruthless Rumanian gangster and the kidnapping of Superintendent Sarah Rudd’s young daughter. The Lady Who Turned will be published by City Fiction on 16 July 2014.
Sarah is also founder and MD of The Book Consultancy Ltd, a company dedicated to helping authors to ‘get it written, get it right, and get it read’. The Book Consultancy runs courses and workshops on writing and publishing, as well as providing bespoke mentoring and editorial services.
