City business man and author Tony Drury has kindly donated 200 copies of his latest novel ‘Cholesterol’ to help support Action Against Hunger. The books will be gifted on October 5th 2013 to the guests of the charity’s flagship event, the ‘Fine Wine Auction and Dinner’, at favoured city eatery, 1 Lombard Street.

Action Against Hunger is recognised as the charity of choice for food & drink industry professionals. This prestigious event, which has raised over £1,000,000 over the years, is hosted by BBC food & drink presenter Nigel Barden and attended every year by 190 high net worth guests made up of influential members of the food & drink industry – renowned chefs, restaurateurs and food critics – and some of the UK’s top wine and spirit aficionados and collectors, including our committee members Ewan Venters (CEO of Fortnum & Mason), Robin Hutson (Hotelier) and Marlon Abela (CEO of MARC Restaurants). This year, world renowned chefs Jason Atherton (Pollen Street Social), Brett Graham (The Ledbury), Skye Gyngell (Heckfield Place) and Eric Chavot (Brasserie Chavot) will join the list of previous elite chefs to cook at this prestigious event. By donating to this event Tony is helping Action Against Hunger raise funds to bring food and water to more than 7 million people around the world.
