11 Oct

Below is a lovely thank you from the Fine Wine Auction Assistant, Anaïs Belaud for both Tony’s and City Fiction’s involvement in the Fine Wine Auction & Dinner last weekend.

“On behalf of all of us here at Action Against Hunger, I would like to thank you and Tony Drury for your generous contribution to the Fine Wine Auction & Dinner which was held on 5th October 2013 at 1,Lombard Street. The evening was a huge success, with the chefs cooking up a fabulous feast accompanied by delicious wines.

This year, thanks to the amazing support of our donors and sponsors, the event raised the fantastic sum of £208,781! With 30 years of expertise in emergency situations of conflict, natural disaster and chronic food insecurity, Action Against Hunger runs life saving programmes benefitting over 7 million people each year in 46 countries worldwide. Our activities focus on delivering nutritional treatment to severely malnourished children, and reducing the likelihood of long term effects from acute malnutrition. Concurrently we work with families, communities and governments to implement long term, sustainable solutions to hunger.

We find that providing guests with wonderful goody bags filled with high end items such as the 200 copies of Cholesterol by Tony Drury, you provided makes a big difference on the night. We cannot thank you enough for your fantastic support for Action Against Hunger’s Fine Wine Auction – we are truly grateful and I’m sure our guests will appreciate the book just as much as we did”
